He specializes in teaching chess to beginners and intermediate players regardless of age. He also coaches adults who “used to play” and want to get back into it. Ted has also taught chess as a non-credit course at Prince George’s Community College. He provides challenging and fun instruction to individuals and groups in schools, libraries and other locations. He also conducts chess camps every summer. Currently, he coaches scholastic chess clubs and offers chess seminars at many local schools, both public and private. In past years he helped sponsor clubs in Forestville and Largo, MD.
Ted is a former air traffic controller and Federal Aviation Administration executive who served as deputy director of personnel and technical training.
